Individual therapy for adults navigating worry, stress, and the pressure of modern life — in New York City, Brooklyn, and via teletherapy across New York State.

ANXIETY THERAPY

Maybe it starts the moment you wake up. A low, tight feeling before the day has even begun. Or maybe it builds throughout the week: replaying conversations, dreading what's coming, feeling like your mind simply won't let you rest. You're doing everything you're supposed to do, and still, the worry follows you.

You're not alone. And you're not broken. Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek therapy, and one of the most treatable. You can learn to understand what's driving it and start to loosen its grip.

Struggles You're Facing

Anxiety shows up differently for everyone. You might notice:
  • Thoughts that won't quiet down. Especially at night, when there's nothing left to distract you from the spiral.
  • A constant sense of bracing. Always waiting for something to go wrong, even when things are fine.
  • Pulling back from things that matter. Avoiding relationships, opportunities, or decisions because the risk feels too big.
  • Exhaustion that doesn't make sense. Carrying this level of alertness, day after day, wears you down in ways that are hard to explain.

If you're in your twenties or thirties, navigating career pressure, dating, or a major life shift, you may also feel a particular kind of weight. The pressure to have it figured out. To not fall behind. To meet a standard that keeps moving. That pressure is its own form of anxiety, and it deserves attention too.

Relief You Can Expect

Therapy won't eliminate every hard feeling, and it shouldn't. But over time, you can expect real, meaningful shifts:
  • Less time lost to worry. More ability to redirect your attention when anxiety pulls at you.
  • A clearer sense of what's underneath it. Not just managing symptoms, but understanding what your mind has been trying to protect you from.
  • More ease in the moments that matter. Conversations, decisions, relationships, the parts of life anxiety has been quietly shrinking.
  • A steadier baseline. So that hard days feel like hard days, not like proof that something is wrong with you.

These changes happen gradually. Not overnight, and not through pressure. But they do happen.

How I Guide You There

Your anxiety didn't come from nowhere. Together, we'll slow down and look at what's actually underneath it. The patterns you learned early, the stories you tell yourself under stress, the ways your mind learned to stay safe. Understanding those roots is what makes lasting change possible.

When it's useful, we'll also work on the practical side. Identifying the thought loops that make worry worse, building strategies for high-anxiety moments, and moving through avoidance at a pace that feels sustainable. You get both the deeper understanding and the concrete tools, not one at the expense of the other.

What to Expect

Your first session is a conversation, not an evaluation. You'll share what's been going on, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for. You don't need to arrive with answers. Just a willingness to start.

From there, you'll typically come in once a week for 45 minutes. Some people find that more frequent sessions deepen the work. Either way, you and I will figure out what fits. Consistency matters more than frequency, and we build the structure together at a pace that feels right for you.

A Good Fit for You

This work is well-suited for adults 18 and older navigating anxiety in any of its forms. Generalized worry, social anxiety, performance pressure, perfectionism, dating stress, or the particular weight of early adulthood.

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit. Many people come simply because they're tired of feeling stuck, and that's reason enough. This practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcomes people across the gender spectrum.

Fees, Insurance & Logistics

Your session fee is $175 for 45 minutes. Insurance isn't accepted directly, but as an out-of-network provider, your plan may reimburse part of the cost. You'll receive all the documentation you need to submit a claim.

Payment is accepted by credit card, Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App.

In-person sessions are available at the Flatiron District office in Manhattan. Virtual sessions are available by secure video anywhere in New York State. In-person availability is limited, so please mention your preference when you reach out.

Policies and Boundaries

If you need to cancel or reschedule, 48 hours' notice is required. Cancellations within that window are charged the full session fee.

What you share in your sessions is confidential and protected by law. There are limited legal exceptions, such as imminent risk of harm, and you'll hear those clearly before we begin.

Frequently Asked Questions

If anxiety is affecting your sleep, your relationships, your work, or your sense of yourself, that's enough. You don't need to be in crisis. Many people wait longer than they need to because they feel like they should be able to handle it on their own.

Not exclusively. Understanding how earlier experiences shaped your anxiety matters, but so does what's happening right now. You'll leave sessions with both insight and practical tools for your daily life.

It varies. Some people notice shifts within the first few weeks. Deeper patterns take more time. What tends to make the biggest difference is showing up consistently, and many people feel that shift earlier than they expected.
